"New era" Asking Alexandria goes to Kiev
Heavy music is a specific niche. In it, one must constantly surprise, so as not to become just a memory in the head of the listener. This is especially true of metalcore.
Over the past ten years, so many groups have appeared in this genre that quickly took off and fell just as quickly. Units held. Asking Alexandria is one of them. And now they have a "new era", which they will present in Kiev.
Over their nearly fifteen-year career, Asking Alexandria has experienced many periods - both good and controversial. Among the good ones are critics' acknowledgment, hundreds of thousands of albums sold and a triple hit on the Billboard's top 10 chart.
Among the controversial - the departure of the vocalist Danny Worsnop, his experiments with country and pop jazz, the short front-manhood of the Ukrainian Denis Shaforostov in 2015-2016. In 2016, Worsnop returned and Asking Alexandria began with a clean slate.
In September, Asking Alexandria released the track The Violence - as peppy and stunning as the rest of the band's songs. But with one caveat - it was liked not only by fans, but also by the masses.
Thus began the "new era" of Asking Alexandria. Worsnop explains what this means:
“We were constantly told what and how to do it so that people would listen to us. We wanted to slow down a little, but in response we heard:“ If you stop, your career will end. ”We decided to score at all, become more sober and more stable. And the most the main thing is to choose what we will do, how we will do it and when we will do it. "
The Violence - the first swallow of the "new era" Asking Alexandra. Mysteriously? Of course. But at the same time she portends something rampant and exciting. What will be abandoned is extremely difficult. And, as practice shows, it is impossible to be prepared for this in advance.
Will the group come to Kiev with a fresh record or will it be several new tracks? We will learn over time, but one thing is certain for sure - all of us are waiting for a celebration of energy, slam and endless electricity.
