AN EVENING OF DANCE PERFORMANCES ABOUT THE STRONGEST HUMAN FEELING by INSHA DANCE COMPANY
1984. ANOTHER
"... They agree to the most flagrant distortions of reality, because they do not understand the whole indignity of substitution... They swallow everything one after the other, and what they swallow does not harm them, does not leave a residue, just as a grain of corn passes undigested through the intestine of the bird ..."
Can you dance these book lines? Is it possible to dance a book if it is a book by the great Orwell? Yes, you can if it is INSHA Dance Company. Here they hold out their palms, into which another portion of propaganda falls, and which they greedily swallow like a grain. And here they are already chanting something triumphant and bellicose from behind their bars, because every dissenter is their personal enemy... Here they are watching you in the semi-darkness, and ready to seize you for every superfluous word, here they read your thoughts, here their the mouth is twisted by the terrible grimace of Edvard Munch's scream, and this scream of bitter hatred is addressed to you, here they are building the walls of their cardboard prisons for you...
But first there was music. She covered the stage and the audience with darkness with some merciless metallic noise and rattle.
She dazzled with a bright light, to which they prayed, and from which there was nowhere to escape, even behind bars..... This music could only be written by the Icelandic cellist Gildur Guðnadóttir, who was awarded for "Joker" and "Chernobyl" and nominated for an Oscar . And this music could only be supplemented by the pianist and author of the soundtracks for "Patrick Melrose" Haushka. To this music, the talented directors of the ballet "1984.INSHA" Ilya Miroshnichenko and Kateryna Kuznetsova transform Julia into a Trier dancer in the dark, and Winston into a victorious rebel who wins for freedom. Because love can and should rewrite the worst scenario. It is stronger than those who put you behind bars, it is an antidote to any lies, and only love can overshadow the exhausting and dazzling light of deities invented by someone.
"... A CHOREOGRAPHIC READING OF A CULT LITERARY HISTORY IS THE QUINTESSENCE OF THE PLOT AND THE LEADING THESIS OF THE NOVEL ABOUT THE OPPOSITION OF THE PERSONALITY TO THE SYSTEM.
Orwell's hero was ready to give his life: "To die hating them is freedom." The directors leave this sacred right to the heroine, She, the Other, herself will have to continue the path or perish. As in Orwell's... Well, after all, freedom is female. - Larisa Tarasenko for the publication "Day" about the play "1984.OTHER "
ANIMA OSCURA
Experience the magic of the sensual dance performance "Anima Oscura" (Dark Soul), which is the second part of the evening. This performance, staged by the Italian choreographer Francesco Annarumma, unfolded against the background of the musical masterpiece of Giovanni Battista Pergolesi - "Stabat Mater".
"Stabat Mater" is a real work of art, striking with its beauty and depth, and is one of the most significant compositions of the 18th century . In this dance performance, every movement of the dancers is harmoniously combined with penetrating notes, creating an atmosphere of emotional intensity.
ANIMA OSCURA explores the power of love that has the ability to illuminate even the darkest soul, revealing the potential of this piece of music through sophisticated choreography and sensual impressions. Come and experience how love can turn darkness into light, plunging you into the depths of human experience.
Both performances offer a unique experience of the perfect combination of modern dance and deep emotions, providing an opportunity to explore the powerful spectrum of human emotions through dance and music.
