Vladimir Vinnichenko (1880-1951) - Ukrainian writer, politician, artist. Vladimir Vinnichenko began writing since 1901. The most famous are his dramas "Big Moloch", "Sin", "Law", "Miss Mara", "Black Panther and Polar Bear" and others. They were successful in Western Europe, and in the 1920s and at the turn of the 1980s-1990s in Ukraine. “Lie” was first published in 1910, staged in Kiev in 1911. In particular, one of the first performers of Tosi’s role was Les Kurbas.
