On June 14 and 15, Kyiv will host the fourth multi-genre festival of independent music and culture "Brudnyi Pes" - a large-scale musical event of the year, which unites not only the current trends in contemporary music, but also musicians from all over the country. Artists will come to Kyiv to show how the independent scene has developed over the past year.
Two summer days, 90 artists, 5 stages, and a renovated Keller club and surrounding locations – this year, the organizers have reimagined literally everything that was loved in past seasons.
The five main musical genres—electronic, alternative, fusion, rap/hip-hop, and experimental—are given an additional dimension in the form of a sixth style: CORE . This is a fresh, separate category that encompasses the heaviest genres—punk, hardcore, stoner, deathcore, rapcore, grindcore—and transforms the scene into a veritable eruptive crater of raw power and drive.
This year's "Dirty Dog" will be especially surprising with the "Parking Lot" stage, which has undergone the biggest changes towards metal and extreme. The stage will be transformed into a BMX and skateboarding area, where scenery in the form of crushed cars and cranes will become spots for riders.
To maintain the authenticity of the sound of the regions, “Dirty Dog” attracts artists from all over Ukraine every year:
A third of the lineup was formed thanks to OPEN CALL — an open recruitment of new artists. This year's participants include:
Alex Savage, Borys, Si Process, RECID, Maryana Klochko, Xarakter, Hyphen Dash, Renie Cares, Sad Novelist, Stas Korolev, Provulok, True Tough and others are representatives of the new wave of Ukrainian sound.
"Dirty Dog" will once again become a space for bold experiments: dance showcases, debuts, unexpected collaborations. The u2203 studio under the direction of Volodymyr Polozyuk is working on the updated stages. The "Hangar" stage will become even larger, more complex, and deeper — for maximum immersion.
This year's promo is a separate artistic event. In 2024, "Dirty Dog" invited five directors, and in 2025 - it is diving into animation. The three promo videos are created by the Feldman Sisters, Nikita Lyskov and Stas Santimov . The voice acting and soundtracks are created by the festival's musicians - this gives an organic fusion of the visual and musical world of the festival.
Every year, the festival chooses a dog from the "Kvostaty" shelter as the heroine of the visual image. In 2025, it is the dog Daffy - a symbol of love and care. The festival helps find her a home and raises funds to close the shelter's debt of 350 thousand UAH.
Last year, together with Keller and the initiative "Polygon Oboron Prom", over 850 thousand UAH were raised for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and animals. In 2025, "Dirty Dog" continues this mission.
