Carlo Muscat & Dnipro Big Band. Tribute To Wayne Shorter

This evening we remember one of the most famous jazz musicians - the legendary saxophonist Wayne Shorter! He was an innovator, a dreamer and believed that jazz would awaken the inner, secret and deeply cherished in everyone.

Many of his compositions have become jazz standards, he has 12 Grammy awards, thousands of fans around the world - this is only a small part of what characterizes Wayne's work. His saxophone playing was filled with unexpected rhythmic solutions and harmonic complexity that set him apart from others.

Carlo Muscat is a Maltese saxophonist, composer and band leader of the Carlo Muscat Quartet. He performed on many European stages - in Paris, London, Istanbul, Milan, Berlin, Kyiv, Rotterdam. Last year, the influential magazine Downbeat named his album "Hymns" one of the best albums of the year. And his latest album "The Upside Down" was released quite recently.
