CHEEV is an author and performer of his own songs from Minsk, who sings in Ukrainian and Belarusian. Having gained experience as a participant in music talent shows in Ukraine and Belarus and a cover artist, the artist has formed his own style, in which he combines popular music with elements of indie and alternative. CHEEV is catchy ballad tunes along with danceable beats and bright choruses. Sensual vocals and lyrics about inner feelings, familiar to every listener.
CHEEV is the creative pseudonym of the Minsk artist Vlad Chyzhikov. Vlad was born on December 31, 1993 in the city of Bobruisk (Belarus) and since childhood participated in vocal competitions and festivals, graduated from a music school with a flute class. From that time he realized that he intends to connect his life exclusively with music.
2013 — the first big success in the native country. Vlad is the winner of the TV show "Academy of Talents" (Belarus), his debut single was in the hot rotation of local radio stations and received the "Song of the Year in Belarus" award.
2015 — Vlad joined the Radiovolna team as a vocalist. As part of the group, he received the "Lira" award (Belarus) in the "Discovery" nomination.
2018 - the band "Radiovolna" took part in the National Selection for "Eurovision" in Portugal and got to the final, in the same year their album "118.1" was released - "pop-rock-funk-soul in one bottle", as they described it themselves musicians
In the same 2018, Vlad discovered the Ukrainian pop scene and, fascinated by the beauty of popular songs in the Ukrainian language, recorded and posted on Instagram a number of original covers of such artists as Monatik, The Hardkiss, Tayanna, Mamarika, Maruv and others.
His talent began to be noticed in Ukraine: in 2019, the performer took part in the "Voice of the Country" project, conquered the jury of the show with his vocal data and got into Dan Balan's team. In the same year, he sang the song "Stones" by The Hardkiss as a duet with Yulia Sanina on the air of the "Belsat music live" program.
2019 — Vlad's debut release in Ukrainian, the song "Oberigaty" under the pseudonym CHEEV, was released. Next, CHEEV began to release single after single ("What's in it for us", "Whoever", "Iminimi") and accumulate material for a debut album.
December 2021 - the release of the Ukrainian-language album "Drama" with the lead single "Garno tak". Six months after its release, the song "Garno tak" gained popularity on the TikTok platform, and its organic popularity spread to other digital platforms. The track topped the Apple Music Ukraine chart, and also entered the Shazam top charts and streaming platforms in Belarus, Poland, Moldova and the Czech Republic.
