At the Opera House, the sunny ballet Cipollino awaits you. Do not miss this original production!
In the 1970s, the libretto author Gennady Rykhlov decided to write a ballet for children after he heard the beautiful music of Karen Khachaturian for the animated film "Cipollino" (1961). The performance was assembled from disparate musical fragments, previously composed by the composer. Many of these motifs are familiar to us from cartoons from the 1950-1970s.
The choreography was staged by Heinrich Mayorov, Honored Artist of Russia and the Republic of Buryatia. He managed to discover the artistic possibilities of synthesizing household plastics and virtuoso classical dance. The first ballet premiere took place in 1974.
The brave Cipollino, his parents, the important Lemon, Signor Tomato, Count Cherry, the beauty Magnolia, Professor Pear, godfather Pumpkin, the lovely Radish ... You will definitely enjoy seeing your favorite charismatic characters!
Do not miss!
