June 2 at the Opera House you will find the sunny ballet "Cipollino". Do not miss this original production!
In the 1970s, libretto author Gennady Ryhlov decided to write a ballet for children after hearing the wonderful music of Karen Khachaturian for the animated film “Chipollino” (1961). The performance was made up of scattered musical fragments, formerly composed by the composer. Many of these motifs are familiar to us from cartoons from the 1950–1970s.
The choreography was set by Heinrich Maiorov, Honored Artist of Russia and the Republic of Buryatia. He managed to uncover the artistic possibilities of the synthesis of household plastics and virtuoso classical dance. The first premiere of the ballet took place in 1974.
Brave Chipollino, his parents, important Lemon, Signor Tomato, Count Cherry, beautiful Magnolia, Professor Pear, Kum Pumpkin, lovely Radish ... You will definitely enjoy seeing your favorite charismatic characters!
