In the House of the Architect, Old Fashioned Band will perform Christmas and New Year's hits as part of the Louis Armstrong & Ella Fitzgerald program.
This evening will sound a special, New Year's jazz. You will hear the works of the undeniable Louis Armstrong and one of the greatest vocalists in the history of jazz music - Ella Jane Fitzgerald.
Louis Armstrong is a jazz trumpeter who needs no introduction, his name is familiar to everyone. It was he, along with Duke Ellington, Charlie Parker, Miles Davis and John Coultrain that had the greatest influence on the development of jazz and did much to popularize it all over the world.
Ella Fitzgerald, not just a jazz vocalist, Ella is the name of the “First Lady of Jazz”. Armstrong, Goodman, Ellington, Peterson voted for the title of “Best Singer of the World” for Ella. On the question of who to submit to this rank, Frank Sinatra replied: "Why are you asking, of course, Ella." Crosby said: “Only she! It does not matter from whom to choose - men, women or children ... ”.
