What will happen if we combine academic education and heavy modern sound of rock, add there Baltic restraint, Italian temperament, oriental touch and a bit of Ukrainian sincerity? The result is an incredible classical crossover band Dagamba! Behind these guys are many European festivals, 5 albums, the Latvian equivalent of a Grammy and more than 100 successful concerts around the world. It's time to open Dagamba Ukraine!
November 20, 2019 at the National Palace of Culture "Ukraine" in Kiev will be held a concert of the Dagamba group with the eccentric program #LudwigVanRammstein. As the frontman of the group tells, all the musicians are real hooligans, who know the classics well, but adore Radiohead, Korn, Metallica and System of a Down. So why not combine all this? I wonder how Vivaldi would sound if he lived today. Few people know, but at one time Shostakovich could be compared with metalworkers, so he shocked the public. And Ludwig Van Beethoven would have become a famous rocker, but he was born early. Who knows, maybe in a few centuries, modern rock stars will also be considered classics. So why not play the classic otherwise now, so that it becomes closer to our contemporaries?
