On August 9-10-11, immediately after a week at Avatar Yoga Fest '2019, we will plunge into practice from the most mysterious yogi - Danny Paradise, accompanied by Nadia Deleye. This will be a three-day workshop (Friday, Saturday and Sunday).
CHAMANISM, EVOLUTION, FREEDOM AND YOGA
Yoga is a hereditary gift to humanity, given by Nature, in order to help us take the path of the Soul. Yoga has a connection with all the sacred and shamanic spiritual traditions. Danny begins his class with a short discussion about the shamanic techniques that lead us to healing, evolution of consciousness and personal contact with the Spirit without a mediator or guru.
PRACTICE - Practice Asan and Pranayama:
Non-dogmatic, flexible approach to the study of Ashtanga Yoga, including an extended sequence of postures with derivatives, elements of Egyptian yoga and Taoist practices, with modifications and variations, including an introduction to the First, initial series and Second, intermediate series for practitioners of any level and teachers in all areas of yoga .
Day 1: Friday evening
Discussion 3 hours on the topic “Yoga and Shamanism”: The Path of the Soul, Communication of Yoga with the Sacred Spiritual Traditions, Realization of Destiny, Your Dream as a Masterpiece Practice: Pranayama: acquaintance with 6 basic breathing techniques in the tradition of Ashtanga Yoga. Asanas: An introduction to Danny’s author’s style, based on the traditional Baseline standing posture and the final part, consisting of inverted asanas, with modifications and variations from Kung Fu, Tai Chi and Egyptian Yoga.
Day 2: Saturday 13:00 - 17:00
Discussion: Health aspect of yoga, Shamanism, local traditions, personal authority, personal responsibility. Freedom, spiritual life, wellness practices. The effect of pranayama. Practice: Pranayama: Introduction to Pranayama in the tradition of Ashtanga Yoga, learning 6 basic breathing techniques in the tradition of Ashtanga Yoga. Asanas: A study of Ashtanga Yoga with variations and modifications in the sequence of postures and in the elements of the first and second series.
Day 3: Sunday 13:00 - 17:00
Discussion: the life force of the chakra system, yoga, shamanism and aging. How to perceive the coming changes with vitality, clarity and peace. Practice: Pranayama: Introduction to Pranayama in the tradition of Ashtanga Yoga, learning 6 basic breathing techniques in the tradition of Ashtanga Yoga.
Ritual, meditative and therapeutic study of asanas in the tradition of Ashtanga yoga with elements of martial arts and elements of Egyptian yoga for all levels. The basic sequence of postures, the second series and the final part, consisting of inverted asanas.
Danny has been practicing Ashtanga yoga since 1976 and since 1979 has been teaching and teaching in more than 42 countries. Initially, Danny studied with David Williams and Nancy Gilgoff, the first Western teachers and followers of Ashtanga Yoga, studying under their guidance all the sequences in the Ashtanga Yoga tradition from 1976 to 1981. In 1978 and 1980, he studied under one of the most prominent teachers in India, Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. Danny is one of the most experienced practitioners and pioneers who have played a significant role in spreading the tradition of Ashtanga Yoga around the world. He is one of the first wandering teachers in the tradition of Ashtanga Yoga and each year continues to teach yoga in new countries. Danny teaches the most famous and talented musicians, actors, athletes, artists, designers, directors and dancers.
Danny draws knowledge from the teachings of Krishnamurthy, Buddhism, ancient Egypt, such modern teachers as Caroline Mays and Marianne Williamson, as well as many shamanic traditions in the culture of Maya and the indigenous people of Hawaii and the United States. He conveys the teachings of ancient traditions in a non-dogmatic, modern, humorous manner. He conveys knowledge of how to practice and create meditative, therapeutic and ritual practice of yoga. The main task of Danny is to teach people the path of awareness and also help people to comprehend a healing, sacred, personal, meditative, playful, non-dogmatic approach to the practice of yoga.
Danny also studied Kung Fu, Tai Chi and Karate. He is a musician, singer, writer, artist, human rights activist, director and producer of films.
Danny also introduced to the tradition of Ashtanga Yoga celebrities such as: mime Marcel Marceau, Graham Nash, Sting, Trudie Styler, Madonna, Paul Simon, Edie Brickell, Eddie Vedder and Jeff Ament (from the group Pearl Jam), Cat Stevens, Donna Karan, Luciano Pavarotti, Mira Nair (film director), and many others.
Nadia Deleye: Nadia has been practicing Ashtanga yoga for 27 years already. She has passed a large number of training programs and seminars in yoga and for the last 2 years she has been traveling and teaching around the world with Danny. Nadya is also a musician, professional singer, dancer, performer and martial artist. She has performed around the world as a professional singer in all musical genres and has many albums released. She went on tour as the main female vocalist of The Family Stone musical group and performed together with Michael Raff, Sheryl Crowe, The Wrecking Crew musical group, Graham Nash, Chuck Khan, David Crosby, Karl Anderson and Al Jerro. Danny and Nadia play music together.
