National Academic Theater of Russian Drama. Lesia Ukrainka puts the play "Trifles of Life." It is based on five early plays by A.P. Chekhov. And that means it will be funny and sad at the same time: this is the strength of Chekhov's works.
The tragic comedy “Trifles of Life” is a kaleidoscope of five mini-performances, based on the plots of the plays from Chekhov's Motley Stories: “The Daughter of Albion”, “The Philistines”, “Long Language”, “Comic”, and “Wallet”. In a short time (each play takes about fifteen minutes), the heroes travel a path full of emotions and events, from the funny to the tragic. So, having listened to a funny story about a vacation, in the eyes of his young wife the hero of “Long Language” sees undisguised lewdness. The baseness and rudeness of the shameless fishermen in all their glory is manifested in the production of “The Daughter of Albion”. And about how good friends can instantly become each other's enemies, tells the story "Wallet". So is the man really so weak and weak-willed before everyday temptations? Come and try to give answers to this and many other important questions together with talented actors of the theater.
The performance lasts 1 hour 30 minutes, without intermission.
