HAPOKA presents a new album
On December 17, indie rock duo Gapochka will perform at the Caribbean Club with the presentation of the new album Necessary.
The first single "I hear" from the forthcoming album was released in early June. With the taste of oldschool and post-punk, the track marked a new wave in the works of Katie Gapochka and Yevgeny Yakshin. Despite the live drummer being replaced by a drum machine, Eugene's guitar parts sounded even more audacious, and Katie's vocals even more desperate. For the first time the full version of "I hear" was made in the winter on the Music Export Ukraine showcase - it was then that Katya and Eugene realized that they wanted to sound like a duet.
"This story began 2 years ago when Katya wrote a demo for a full album. I liked the material and I got the idea to make Katin's album as naive, sharp and deep as possible. Then began the search for musicians, sound, studios, etc. ... At the end of all the stories we decided to play together and at the same time to sound and look whole, ”- says Yevgeny Yakshin.
"In a new album I'm on emotions," shares Katya Gapochka. - Each song is a specific, vivid feeling. Necessary is an expressive album. The main message is the need to experience all your faces, from minus to plus. As for the sound, I did not want to experiment, and I am glad that the drum machine samples from the very beginning made their limitations in the sound, and the guitars were almost at the level with the vocals. ”
Happochki Necessary's fourth album will be released on the eve of the concert.
Tickets for the Caribbean Club live presentation on December 17 are available at Concert.ua.
Hapochka is an indie rock band created by singer Katya Gapochka, musically complemented and artistically stylized by guitarist Yevgeny Yakshin. Their first full-length albums "Stage", "Electroacoustics" and "Catch My Words", recorded in different composition, received many praise from Ukrainian critics. To design their own music, the band carefully and meticulously selects musicians and sound producers, including Yuri Khustochka (ex-Ocean Elzy, Esthetic Education), Ilya Galushko (Esthetic Education) and Alexei Laptev (Gorchitza).
