During the program "Heroes and Monsters: Myths of the Starry Sky" we will plunge into the world of ancient Greek mythology to get acquainted with the heroes whose names are immortalized in the names of the constellations in the starry sky, hear amazing stories about the 12 feats of Hercules, the duel of Perseus with the Gorgon Medusa, the miraculous rescue of the beautiful Andromeda from the sea monster and the pursuit of Scorpion by the hunter Orion. Together we will learn why Cassiopeia was placed upside down in the sky, why the Big Dipper and the Little Dipper have unnaturally long tails, how Hercules managed to overcome the terrifying three-headed Hydra, and how the change of seasons is connected with Demeter's grief for her kidnapped daughter.
