HED P.E. in Kyiv! We are waiting for you on September 26, at 7 p.m. at the ATLAS club.
Unlike the first album, which mostly mixed hardcore punk and hip-hop, Broke got new elements – classic rock and even the influence of ethnic music. But returning to their roots in hardcore punk and heavy metal, the band presented several tracks with famous guests on this album – Dead Kennedys East Bay Ray guitarist recorded Waiting to Die and Feel Good could hear the voices of Serj Tankian from System of a Down and Morgan Lander from Kittie. Rolling Stone magazine noted in its review of Broke that "rap metal has found its Motley Crue".
Hed P.E. formed in California in 1994 and became famous for its cross-genre music on the verge of gangsta rap and punk rock. In different years, the band has been inspired by the bands Beastie Boys, Black Sabbath, Bob Marley, Led Zeppelin, Nine Inch Nails, Notorious BIG and Rage Against the Machine. In 2019, the band released a 10-track album, Stampede. So, at the show in Kyiv we will hear not only the entire Broke album completely and other iconic tracks from other records, but also the latest material.
