HOBBIT DAY TOGETHER WITH THE WHOLE WORLD!

Every year on September 22, fans of J. R. R. Tolkien's universe around the world celebrate Hobbit Day.

The Ukrainian Hobbit Day festival invites you to be transported to the world of Middle-earth on September 22!

Together with us, you can go to the Shire to celebrate the birthday of the most famous hobbits - Bilbo and Frodo!

We will:

• learn how to wish hobbits a happy birthday in Elvish;
• to dance fiery Hobbitish dances;
• eat delicacies prepared by chefs of different nations;
• marvel at the wonderful products of local craftsmen;
• draw a map of the Shire with all secret paths;
• participate in an exciting and full of surprises quest;
• and play authentic Hobbit board games.

And the main thing is to enjoy life like real hobbits and their friends!

THERE IS A MANDATORY DRESS CODE FOR ALL VISITORS and PARTICIPANTS!

We want to bring you to the Shire as much as possible for Frodo and Bilbo's birthday celebration, so we are enforcing a strict dress code for visitors and participants.

DRESS CODE FOR HOBBIT DAY:

• Clothing should correspond to (resemble) the era of medieval Europe, or its fantasy analogue.
• Costumes of other creatures that inhabit or may (stylistically) inhabit Middle-earth are allowed.
• Costumes from other fantasy worlds (works) are allowed, as long as they do not contrast with Tolkien's universe. For example, a scantily clad character from a fantasy anime is not allowed.
• Partial presence of everyday clothes is allowed, if it does not stand out among other elements of the costume. For example, a regular shirt but a "hobbit waistcoat" over it, or your cloak or long cape covers modern clothing items, or regular shoes if other items of clothing comply with the dress code.
• Denim clothing is prohibited. In addition to black or brown pants, if other items of clothing comply with the dress code.
