Chorus of V.U.H.A. - Masterpieces of Ukrainian pop music

At its first concert of the 2024/25 season, V.U.H.A. are preparing to present you a program of incredible masterpieces of Ukrainian pop music of the 60s and 80s.

Fortunately, now we can no longer say that these songs are unfairly forgotten, because they have become actively performed by modern pop singers and bands, and they are heard much more often than ever.

Instead, we offer you a slightly different, fresh look at pop music of that time, namely its performance by the largest amateur choir of Ukraine in fantastic arrangements for 4-10 parts by our choirmaster Yevhen Malyarevskyi, who has been researching it on his YouTube channel for two years. Ivasyuk, Horchynskyi, Kos-Anatolskyi, Skoryk, Bilozir, Sabadash, Poklad, Zatulovskyi - the work of these composers, who created Ukrainian cultural product despite oppression and devaluation by the Soviet system, you will hear in an acoustic choral performance on December 14 in the Great Hall of the Kyiv Conservatory .
