The new album How To Dress Well called The Anteroom was released in October 2018. It consists of a single, long-playing composition of psychedelic music that sounds with Crell’s magical and enchanting sound experiments. The stories Krell tells on this album are partly biographical, some of them rooted in the remotest corners of human life — all very personal and humane. The Anteroom, with its electronics, rushing like a blizzard, with its fragile melodies and label poetry, brings back to life the experimental essence of the HTDW project.
Tom Krell himself explains: "I wrote this album after moving to Los Angeles, this is a crazy and even oppressive place, right after the 2016 elections, when hell and death took root in every corner of the planet. The Anteroom is a manifestation of the two-year period when I felt that I was moving away from this world into cosmic solitude, in which I would sometime dissolve. To find my way back, I presented my condition as an antechamber - “anteroom” - a room between the known and the unknown, stable life and complete disintegration. ” Tom found his i lon gest route in yet important work for all 10-year journey - at the culmination of which will be the beginning of a new route.
Kiev is waiting for an unearthly audio-visual performance that will unite the most important components of all performances of How To Dress Well: highly emotional vocals, brilliance of sound and rhythmic electronics.
