1. Joseph van Vissim for the first time in Ivano-Frankivsk!
2. Mystical and hypnotic music
3. A unique event for the city
Jozef van Wissem is a Dutch composer-minimalist and luteist.
Presents two new albums. "Nobody Living Can Ever Make Me Turn," which appeared in December and another one that has a name.
"Being both avant-garde composer and Baroque luteist at the same time, the Dutch musician van Vissme easily combines, it would seem, incompatible." The New York Times
In 2013, he received the Cannes Film Festival Award for Best Original Music for Jim Jarmusch's "Only Lovers Left Alive". He also recorded several albums with Jarmusch. Josef is known for his non-standard approach to the use of the lute - a tool typical of the Renaissance and Baroque era, but more than unexpected in modern music. Despite sophisticated electronic processing of sound, Van Allseem largely remained true to the traditional timbre, resonance, and technique of the game on the lute.
His music is laconic and distinct, gives the listener a hypnotic, almost instinctual emotional influence and is performed by the author with ascetic concentration, finding his mark on the names of individual works derived from Catholicism. Prolonged compositions and sophisticated melodies seem to lead the listener to another, perfect world.
