Jungle will perform in Ukraine for the first time and will present a new album "For Ever" on January 25, 2019 in the club Atlas!
There are dozens, if not hundreds, of projects, groups and solo performers who supply gigabytes of musculoskeletal music. However, units can do this beautifully, imposingly and on style. The Jungle duo are just such guys.
Tom McFarland and Josh Lloyd-Watson have been friends since the age of nine. They lived not only in the neighborhood with each other, but also with the cult club Shepherd's Bush Empire. For two, they had much in common. For example, music and the desire to conquer the scene of this ancient concert hall.
Before collecting Jungle, Tom and Josh played in many bands, but they did not achieve much success. In 2013, they decided to try tropical funk with falsetto and called Jungle. They were noticed by Richard Russell, the head of the label XL - at home Adele, Radiohead, Jack White and King Krule. Russell for a long time did not think and took the guys to himself, releasing their debut next year. It was created in terrible conditions: a closet in which sunlight and fresh air did not get.
But the success was colossal. Half a million copies sold. A whole bunch of hits - "Time", "The Heat", "Platoon" and "Busy Earnin". National recognition and strong interest in the United States. The alloy disco, groove, singing to three voices and the influence of pop music of the twentieth century worked.
However, the second album had to wait 4 years. The guys admit that it was difficult to create it, because the pressure of the public was great: "We did not expect such popularity, for us the ultimate dream was a performance in Shepherd's Bush, but we went even further!"
September 14 album "For Ever" was released. According to Tom and Josh, this album is about emotions: "We got an interesting concept, we wrote an album about how equally exciting are two processes - to fall in love with a person and stop loving him." The album continues to develop the ideas of Jungle. According to the group, they got a "post-apocalyptic radio station, which stops spinning songs without stopping." The description is sad, but in the case of Jungle - the sheer fun that the band will be happy to share with you in January.
