Kyiv Modern Ballet Theater The Council of Poklitaru presents the play Carmen.TV.
- one of the most talented young choreographers in Europe;
- a rare choreographer who thinks in plastic images has his own unborrowed intonation;
- Each of his works is a bold experiment and a daring search with an unexpected reading of world-famous stories, always subdued by music and deeply revealing the complex inner world of a person.
Theater "Kyiv Modern Ballet" was established in 2006 by the Poklitaru Council and immediately gained a reputation as the most radical and cool modern dance theater in the entire post-Soviet space.
"Carmen.TV" is the first production of this group, which literally blew up the theatrical world.
The play The Council retells the plot in great detail, keeping the Spanish flavor in the costumes. But his characters are modern teenagers, with internal imbalance, rude ambition and a clumsy display of feelings.
The interpretation turned out to be ambiguous - the Council of Poklitaru believes that the drama should be told with a certain inner laugh. Laughter in this case is a synonym for a sober outlook on life.
The play "Carmen.TV" received two "Kyiv Pectoral" awards at once:
THE BEST PERFORMANCE OF THE YEAR, THE BEST WORK OF A CHORETOE MASTER.
