WHY YOU SHOULD SEE THE PREMIERE OF THE BALLET "ALICE IN THE MIRROR GLASS" FROM KYIV MODERN-BALLET THEATER?
KYIV MODERN-BALLET THEATER WITH THE PREMIERE OF THE BALLET "ALICE IN THE MIRROR GLASS" IN KYIV
We invite you to attend the premiere of Ivan Harkusha's (John Hope) ballet in two acts "Alice Through the Looking Glass" staged by Kateryna Kurman and performed by the artists of the Academic Theater "Kyiv Modern Ballet".
In the center of the plot are the adventures of Alice in the surreal, strange world of a teenager, where the usual laws and rules do not apply. The Looking Glass is a land of conscious, unconscious and superconscious conflicts in the subconscious of Alice, who is forced to leave her native home due to external circumstances. The world of Through the Looking Glass is a giant chessboard where every move is a surprise.
Modern electronic Ukrainian music by composer Ivan Harkusha (John Hope), surrealistic stage design by scenographer Danylo Vasylenko, and costumes that combine modern fashion trends with elements of surrealism await you. Costume designer Dmytro Kuryata created unique images with paradoxical and imaginary forms, a combination of the incongruous and a distortion of reality. Also, enjoy the modern plastic language, which combines innovation, metamodernity and postirony, from choreographer Kateryna Kurman.
Ballet will encourage reflection on the vitality of the individual and the changeability of the modern world, which requires us to be able to adapt to the surrounding conditions and move forward, despite obstacles.
Come and immerse yourself in the unusual world of "Alice Through the Looking Glass"!
