An evening of one-act ballets to Radu Poklitaru.
“Bolero” by Maurice Ravel - the legendary ballet score of the twentieth century, performed by artists of the Kiev Modern Ballet troupe received an absolutely unpredictable, bold interpretation, permeated by the contradictory spirit of our time.
In a choreographic version of a brilliant work, Radu Poklitaru talks about the continuous, Sisyphus struggle of individuals for the right to their own “I”, for their “dissimilarity”, for freedom against the many-headed, many-legged octopus named “crowd”.
“Rain” is a philosophical story in the form of a choreographic suite about the fates of people involuntarily united by one time and space. Ethnic music and contrasting music by Johann Sebastian Bach - like the voices of people speaking different languages ...
The creative idea of the performance grows out of the musical idea (embodying the concept of Radu Poklitaru): universal human values unite different cultures and mentalities of different nations.
The focus of the play is people, feelings, the very course of life.
During the existence of the Kiev Modern Ballet Theater, 14 one-act and 5 full-length ballets were created. The theater received 5 awards "Kiev Pectoral" for the best performances of the year.
The team successfully toured in France, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Portugal, Romania, China, Thailand, Belarus, Moldova, South Korea, Estonia, and in many cities of Ukraine.
