The talented choreographer, as always, will find something to surprise the audience!
The first one-act ballet entitled "Chamber No. 6" (to the music of the Estonian composer Arvo Pärt) is one of the most intimate productions of the group. For the first time, she saw the light of a ramp at the Bolshoi Theater of Russia. However, when transferring to the artists of the Kiev Modern Ballet troupe, the performance not only did not lose emotional tension and depth, but was also able to enrich itself with new and very Chekhovian nuances.
This story is relevant now. Indeed, like many years ago, today a person who is different from others is almost always doomed to become an outcast. As the creators of "Chamber No. 6" note, the shock caused by the audience with this ballet performance can only be compared with the catharsis that happens after watching the world's best dramatic performances.
The second one-act ballet is "Underground" (to the music of the Latvian composer Peteris Vask). In it, Radu Poklitaru represents the world of heroes who find themselves in the underground, that is, in borderline conditions, not even life, but survival. Circumstances are opposed to everyone's desire for a distant world. What is this high beam? According to Peteris Vasks himself, this is both Divine, heavenly light, and the light of childhood. From here in the production there appear images that convey to the audience the ultimate inner tension of the heroes. But all tension needs a way out. And if he is not, then it reaches the point beyond which the catastrophe of relations and the destruction of the individual have already begun.
Scenography - Andrey Zlobin, Honored Artist.
