About event

Why go to the show Kyiv Modern Ballet. Nutcracker?

1. Kyiv Modern Ballet is one of the best creative teams in the country.
2. Creative courage Radu Poklitaru is impressive and admiring.
3. The Nutcracker is a favorite fairy tale of many generations: come with the whole family.

We invite you to travel to a country called Childhood, along with the magnificent artists of Kyiv Modern Ballet and the Nutcracker ballet! Favorite plot and amazing presentation will not leave anyone indifferent.

Inviting the Nutcracker to the ballet, Radu Poklitaru talks about how accurately and succinctly E. T.A. Hoffman managed to “draw” the world of a child’s soul. In his work, everything is imbued with the colors of that amazing period of our life, which is called childhood. Do not forget that "The Nutcracker" is, above all, a fairy tale. She tells of the very little Marie who happened to be in the house of Counselor Stahlbaum. It was there that Marie first falls in love with the Nutcracker ...

In the finale, huge mice, who frightened Marie at first, become the saviors of lovers. But people are traitors. The performance The Nutcracker of the Kiev Modern Ballet Theater in 2007 received the Kiev Pectoral Prize as the Event of the Year. For adult viewers, this production is a unique opportunity to visit again in childhood.

And for younger guests, the performance will be a real celebration of dance, music, light. Libretto, choreography, staging - Radu Poklitaru. Scenography - Honored Art Worker of Ukraine Andrei Zlobin. See you!
