About event

Is mummification a performance?

The history of the arts is extremely interesting and complex at the same time. It helps you better understand who you are and where you came from. What can you imagine about our ancestors - the people who made us who we are? How did they look, how they dressed? Where did they work and live, how did they rest? What gods did they worship, what enemies did they fight, what rituals did they perform? All these questions help us answer the history of the arts.

But in the study of the history of the arts there are many problems and misunderstandings caused by the subjectivity of perception. This will be the topic of the lecture.

Let's talk about:

problems that arise when studying the history of visual art
cultural gap between domestic and world practices
barriers of perception
problems of classification and periodization of art
