Lesya

For the first time in Lviv! The life and work of Lesya Ukrainka will be told in the language of dance!

"Lesya" is more than a ballet. It is a story of struggle, love, inspiration and the indomitable spirit of a poetess who has become a symbol of Ukrainian culture. The production by Art Ballet Company combines neoclassical choreography, music by Franz Schubert and the living words of Lesya Ukrainka herself, allowing you to experience her inner world on a new level.

Not only moments of her life will come to life on stage, but also iconic images from her works: Mermaid, Possessed, Mavka. The audience will meet the poet's first feelings, her struggle, inspiration, and the people who left a mark on her fate - her husband Kliment Kvitka, her friend Olga Kobylyanska, and even Death herself.

In the main parties:

Natalia Matsak – prima ballerina of the National Opera of Ukraine, People's Artist of Ukraine

Serhiy Kryvokon – Prime Minister of the National Opera of Ukraine
