Mendelssohn Concerto for violin and orchestra in E minor
The performance of the German violinist Linus Roth at the opening of the ODESSA CLASSICS-2016 festival, where he accompanied by the Belgian Chamber Orchestra phenomenally performed "The Seasons" Vivaldi has become legendary among Odessa music lovers. The festival audience constantly asked the organizers of the festival when a new meeting with the beloved musician would take place. And now - the long-awaited return of Linus Roth to the stage of the ODESSA CLASSICS festival! The violin virtuoso will close the festival program with a hit of the violin romantic repertoire - the famous Mendelssohn Concerto in E minor.
Over the past 4 years, Linus Roth has added another ECHO KLASSIK award “for the best concert of the year 2017” to his collection of achievements, became the artistic director of two international festivals in Ibiza and Ochsenhausen, and the international Leopold Mozart violin competition in Augsburg. The violin remains unchanged, on which the virtuoso plays - the personal instrument of Stradivarius "Dunkla" of 1703.
The partner of Linus Roth in the concert program from the works of Mendelssohn will be the Chamber Orchestra of the Odessa Philharmonic and the wonderful Odessa Maestro Igor Shavruk.
