Lubomyr Melnyk returns to Ukraine in the framework of the world tour to his 70th anniversary
Lubomyr Melnyk is a composer and pianist of Ukrainian origin who is a pioneer of Continuous Piano Music. Classically trained and strongly influenced the movement of minimalism in the early 1970's. He developed his own unique piano language, named in honor of the principle of preserving the continuous, unsurpassed flow of sound.
Lubomyr Melnyk is a true innovator, he explored new trends in contemporary music. He is not only considered one of the fastest concert pianists in the world, his compositions also really transfer the listener to new areas. Seeing one of his live performances is nothing more than the discovery of a new intelligent experience.
Miller showed a great commitment to the instrument, always striving to discover new ways to compose music in a continuous mode. His emphasis is on the actual sound of the piano, as well as on the harmony and melody of music. Using the fast and complex patterns of music, the virtuoso pianist method of Lyubomir generates overtones, which at rare moments unite, encounter or even create new melodies, and thus form a composition in its original form. To do this, you need a special technique that has brought it to skill for many years.
By joining the Erased Tapes label in 2013, its founder Robert Raths knew that the time had come to share the great musical legacy of the pianist, to which he simply replied: "Where were you guys when I was thirty?"
In his almost seventy Lyubomyr Melnyk is the author of over 100 works, and in the discography has more than 20 published albums. His talent is recognized both by musicians and by the world's media. Having shown the world of a video on Christina Solovey's song, he once again proved that music has no borders when two creative people come together to do something in common, incredible and something that nobody expects from them.
Since September, Lyubomir goes to his first World Tour, which will last until the end of 2019 and will cover many cities, countries. One of these will be his native Ukraine.
