Two brilliant musicians, two greatest jazz musicians. Their duet became No. 1 in the history of jazz. On this summer evening on the beach of the South Coast we will enjoy the hits of the inimitable Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong.
Along with Duke Ellington, Charlie Parker, Miles Davis and John Coltrane, the master of vocals and improvisation Louis Armstrong had a huge influence on the development of jazz and its popularization throughout the world. His manner of playing the trumpet became a standard for most musicians after the 1930s. His vocal techniques and the special timbre of "voice with sand" became a symbol of an entire era. Armstrong gave the world a huge number of works that have become cultic in the world of jazz.
The owner of the voice in the range of three octaves Ella Jane Fitzgerald did not have a musical education. But this did not prevent her from getting the title of "queen of jazz" and 13 "Grammy". For 50 years of her work she released 90 albums, which were sold in a circulation of 40 million records.
To the question: "Who is worthy of the title of the best singer of the world?" Frank Sinatra replied: "Why are you asking, of course, Ella."
