At one time, the Great Django laid the foundation for a unique style called “Gypsy Jazz” or “Jazz Manush”, which combined the traditional music of the Gypsy Manush with the jazz rhythms of the 30s-40s. This evening, meet the followers of the jazz-manush style in Ukraine - the Urban Gypsy team and the charming vocalist Olga Chernyshova.
Music Urban Gypsy falls in love with the first notes. The repertoire of the team surprisingly combines jazz standards and popular hits of modern times. Keen on jazz – manouche music, the musicians offer original arrangements that are the perfect space for improvisation.
Urban Gypsy cherishes the tradition of performing jazz-manouche using traditional acoustic stringed instruments for this style:

The evening will be filled with colorful vocal by one of the best graduates of the R.M. Institute of Music jazz faculty. Gliera, jazz singer Olga Chernyshova. Olga is a member of a young interesting project [O] that connects electronics, folk and soul. She also collaborated with many Ukrainian performers, including Jamala and Freedom-Jazz.
This evening you will hear the original arrangements of such hits as “This Can´t Be Love”, “Gypsy in My Soul”, “Caravan”, “Minor Swing”, “What a Wonderful World”, and this is not the whole list!
