Rock music performed by a symphony or brass band is one of the trends in the culture of the late twentieth and early twentieth centuries. The expression and drive laid here are very well conveyed by the orchestra, as if doubling the potential of the year. Electric guitars replace string or wind (there is a certain gentleness of sound), but at the same time, the function of drums becomes the leading one. How many such examples in the history of classical music!
Long translated for the orchestra and the immortal hits of the legendary British rock band Queen. According to the dramaturgy, tonal development, they can be called symphony songs. The focus of the program will be the Ukrainian premiere of The Queen Symphony by British composer and conductor Tolga Kashif, written in the early 2000s. The author originally intended this work as a requiem. Indeed, the symphony has much more meaning than it might at first glance. The listener will hear tunes from such songs as "Bohemian Rhapsody", "We Will Rock You", "We Are The Champions", "Who Wants to Live Forever" and more. But this is not just a "compilation", but first and foremost a tribute to a prominent artist. At one time, Kashif's work was performed at prestigious international festivals and broadcast on various European TV channels and brought the composer worldwide fame.
