MGZAVREBI to present new GEO album in Kiev
This is the seventh longplay of the Georgian band, which since 2012 has been gathering full halls in different cities of Ukraine every year.
Mgzavrebi are unique, and over the years they have created their own easily recognizable musical style, adding improvisation to each performance, mixing elements of folk and classics. Their music is the embodiment of modern rhythms and authenticity of one of the most musical countries in the world - Georgia. Their six previous albums are very different, and each of them resonated with the Ukrainian listener.
Gigi Dedalamazishvili, frontman of the band, about the new album "GEO":
It so happens that 10 years have passed since our first album. I wanted to release this album as the first, from a blank sheet, so that it would not be a continuation of our other works. We wanted to start something new, write a new chapter.
The main instrument in the GEO album is the electric guitar. It has less Georgian folklore. This is a very human album, an album about a person who feels everything: from endless love to melancholy, pain, joy. This is the boldest and most emotional album - probably the most emotional of all we have released.
February 16, 2020, Kyiv, Atlas
The Mgzavrebi concert is always open-ended crazy emotions, it is love in the air that can be cut into slices with a knife. It is the dances, the hugs and the tears, it is the breath of Georgia we love so much, it is open and honest in every word and sound. Mgzavrebi are happy and inspired listeners who come out of the concert hall smiling because they know that the emotion they receive can inspire them for many more days, months or years. On February 16, Mgzavrebi musicians will play full cast on the Atlas club and play a program of proven songs and a new album, "GEO".
Let's share Georgian happiness together.
