Mykhailo Hrytskan is a Ukrainian songwriter and performer, actor, Honored Artist of Ukraine. The future music star grew up in an ordinary family. Mother Nina is originally from Moldova. The woman devoted her life to teaching children, working as a primary school teacher. Father Vasyl worked in the trade industry. In addition to Mykhailo, the family raised two more children. From early childhood, the parents noticed in their son not only talent, but also extraordinary charisma and leadership qualities. The guy was actively interested in the sphere of culture and creativity. He took part in all the concerts that were held in his native village. At the age of 10, his parents enrolled Mykhailo in a music school, where the young man mastered playing the accordion.

In 1983, after graduating from a local secondary school, Gritskan entered the Podolsk Agrarian Academy, where he immediately became a soloist of the faculty vocal and instrumental ensemble. His studies were interrupted by military service in 1985, during which the musician created his own ensemble "Storm". He completed his education in 1990. For some time, Mikhail was engaged in entrepreneurial activities, creating a wide network of commercial establishments. However, despite his career in other areas, music always remained his greatest passion.

In childhood, fate gave Mikhail a unique opportunity - the boy visited a concert of Vladimir Vysotsky in Odessa. The event made an unforgettable impression on the young listener. Since then, Mikhail has listened to Vysotsky's songs with enthusiasm, watched films with his participation and was inspired by the work of the talented artist. Mikhail Hrytskan visits the grave of Vladimir Semenovich every year on January 25, Vysotsky's birthday, or July 25, his memorial day, to honor the legendary artist.

Creative path

Since 2006, Mykhailo Hrytskan began his professional musical career. Thanks to his pleasant voice, carefully selected repertoire, bright style and unique stage image, the singer has gained popularity and recognition not only in Ukraine. Devoted fans of the performer's work have appeared far beyond the artist's native land. Mykhailo's hard work has borne fruit: in 2011, the singer delighted fans with two albums at once: "I Love You" and "White Snowdrop". The following year, Hrytskan decided to try his hand at the popular vocal show "Voice of the Country". But the judges immediately noticed: before them was a ready-made star of the music scene who did not need additional promos.

The following years were a period of active creative growth for Mikhail. Numerous concerts, new singles and albums, as well as collaboration with famous producers and artists of the Ukrainian pop scene consolidated the status of a bright performer. Today, Mikhail Hrytskan is the leader and soloist of the group "Grand". The group successfully holds concerts and tours both in Ukraine and abroad. The performer's repertoire includes more than 300 songs created in various musical genres. Such diversity allows the artist to find an approach to every heart and a response from a wide audience.

Mykhailo Hrytskan is an active participant in festivals, show programs and art projects of the Ukrainian and international level. The artist's talent and charisma have repeatedly attracted the attention of television: Mykhailo was the star of the popular shows "Karaoke for Adults", "I'm Changing Women", "Academy". He also represented Ukraine in the international music project "10+10: Ukraine - Georgia" and became a finalist in the national selection for "Eurovision-2012". As an actor, Mykhailo Hrytskan was involved in the filming of the films "Legend of the Carpathians", "Traitor", "Occupation".

In 2019, Mykhailo Hrytskan presented his listeners with the mini-album “Our Love”, which received many positive reviews. Already in 2020, two full-length albums were released – “You Are Incredible” and “I Bring You Roses”. In 2022, a large-scale concert by Mykhailo Hrytskan took place on the stage of the “October Palace”, which became a real musical event. The artist’s performance was accompanied by the legendary NAONI orchestra, which added a special flavor and depth to the sound. And the concert turned into a bright celebration of music, lyrics and emotions. Already in 2023, the world saw the release of a large-scale studio album “Volya”, which became a real breakthrough. The songs of the album quickly gained popularity, blew up TikTok and were distinguished by millions of listenings.

Social activity

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Mykhailo Hrytskan has been actively engaged in charitable concert activities both in Ukraine and abroad. Part of the proceeds from ticket sales are transferred to the treatment, rehabilitation of Ukrainian Heroes, as well as to the purchase of necessary ammunition. The singer's work has become part of a large volunteer movement aimed at bringing victory closer. In the spring of 2023, Mykhailo Hrytskan, together with People's Artist of Ukraine Kateryna Buzhynska, began a large-scale charity tour of the cities of Ukraine called "Volya". The artists' active activities aimed at supporting the country continue.
