Why is it worth going to a MISÞYRMING concert?
1. The first and only concert in Ukraine by the most current Icelandic Black metal band.
2. Presentation of the new album which immediately after its release ranked 11th on Billboard in the World Albums Chart.
3. The band's unmatched concert energy.
During the six years of its existence, the Misþyrming Quartet from Reykjavik has become a major topic in discussions about Black Metal from Iceland. The band's name literally translates to "tough attitude" and the music presents the homeland of the performers in a different world to the listeners. Instead of the usual songs about the beauty of nature or the local folklore of Misþyrming, they are wildly talking about the chaos of a lifeless wasteland, where there is no chance to escape the sprout of life.
The new album "Algleymi", released on the label Norma Evangelium Diaboli (Deathspell Omega, Antaeus, Funeral Mist, Teitanblood), continues to reveal ideas about the gloomy side of Icelandic life and the problems of life on a patch of land surrounded by endless waters, volcanoes, volcanoes. The aim of the musicians is to refute the myth of Iceland as a fairytale idyll and to show people the true face of the land of fire and ice. In early 2020, Misþyrming embarked on a tour of five countries with new material and already familiar songs. March 11, as part of the first tour of Eastern Europe and the Baltic States, Misþyrming will perform in Kiev!
