MUR "Ukraine or Little Russia"
Ukraine or Little Russia? This was the name of the banned polemical treatise of Mykola Khvylovy, which was published only in 1990.
In it, the author raises many questions about Ukrainian independence and calls it a historical law, and not a simple manifestation of the will of the people. You could contemplate the history of this published figure in the musical You [Romantic] by MUR, which this year first gathered a full hall of the Philharmonic, and then the Muses of Comedy in Odesa. It was MUR that created the lecture of the same name "Ukraine or Little Russia?" especially for the maritime capital of Ukraine - Odessa! We will talk about the historical laws of the formation of Odessa. Let us explain why its residents have something to be proud of and why this city is an integral part of the Ukrainian state.
The historian Oleg Kryshtopa, who systematically runs the YouTube project "History for Adults", will help us in this. In addition to what seemed to be dry historical information, we will talk about our identity using the example of two stories of the founders of MUR - Oleksandr Khomenko, who survived the occupation, and Mykola Shmundyr, who came from Donetsk region and had to flee from the war. We will explain why changing shoes is cool, and knowing the history of your city is no worse than having Ruslan Baginsky's beret. Well, of course, this will not be a boring lecture. We just haven't come up with another name for this format yet. It will be fun, dynamic and soulful. Buy a ticket, because we just need to pay off the rent of the premises and transport; tell your friends about it, because it's more pleasant to go crazy together.
