The Municipal Academic Male Choir named after Levko Revutsky, led by Volodymyr Kurach and chief conductor Artur Smirnov, will present an evening of profound music. The program includes Ukrainian calendar and ritual songs, Cossack ballads, works by contemporary Ukrainian composers, as well as world choral classics.

The concert "Born Free" in Kyiv will take place on February 21 at 7:00 PM at the National Philharmonic of Ukraine.

The Municipal Academic Male Choir named after Levko Revutsky was established in 1969. Eight years later, it was named after the prominent Ukrainian composer Levko Revutsky.

The basis of the repertoire of the only professional academic male choir in Ukraine is Ukrainian choral works of the calendar-ritual cycle, in particular, historical, Cossack songs, as well as original works by Ukrainian composers.

The group also performs foreign choral classics, both a capella and accompanied by an orchestra.

Over the decades of its creative activity, the Capella has participated in numerous choral festivals and competitions, both in Ukraine and abroad. It has toured in many European countries - Bulgaria, Poland, Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, France, and the United Kingdom.
