Odessa Festival Orchestra was created to combine talented young Ukrainian musicians into a modern, open band with its own bright personality.
The orchestra includes not only Odessa residents, but also talents from other cities of Ukraine, as well as invited European artists. A feature of the new creative formation will be not only an original, modern style of sound and performance forms, but also flexibility in approaches to the repertoire, openness to bold creative experiments and innovations. The artistic director of the orchestra, touring conductor Vladimir Fanshil (Australia), a native of Odessa, intends to combine the energy of young talents to promote the legendary musical heritage of Odessa in the world.
In the concert-presentation of the orchestra, the world-famous pianist Alexei Botvinov will perform as a soloist. The concert program includes Mozart’s masterpieces - the 20th concert for piano and orchestra in D minor; Antonina Dvorak - 8th symphony; and the overture of Jean-Philippe Rameau "Zais."
