"Lohengrin" at the Odessa Opera: the grand opening of the festival "Velvet Season".
The opera Lohengrin ended with the so-called Dresden period of the composer Richard Wagner. The work is symbolic, as it became the first sign in the opera revolution. There are no traditional arias and duets, and a large overture is replaced by a meek introduction.
“At first, the subtle gaze filled with the thirst for exalted, unearthly love is presented, barely perceptible, but at the same time captivating with a magical power, enchanting images ...”, Wagner himself describes this overture.
“Lohengrin” is an ambiguous conflict, a storm of emotions and the instrumental energy of an orchestra.
Stage Director - Pavel Koshka.
