OST + FRONT is a German band playing in the style of Neue Deutsche Härte. Founded in Berlin in 2008 by Patrick Lange (Herrmann Ostfront), ex-member of such groups as Corvus Corax, Tanzwut, KDA, Cantus Buranus, etc.
The peculiarity of the group, distinguishing it from others in this genre, is a more aggressive and heavy sound, which is complemented by the brutal stage images of musicians whose faces are hidden under frightening make-up and masks.
The first studio album “Ave Maria” was released in the summer of 2012. The provocative release provided the team a successful debut. Critics immediately noted the similarity of the new group with Rammstein, to which Herrmann replied that with a large number of music fans of this style, such a comparison is a compliment.
In the autumn of the same year, the group went on a European tour in support of their “offspring”. In March 2013, Ost + Front first visited Russia with concerts in St. Petersburg and Moscow, and a year later their second studio album, Olympia, was released, which raised the band to an even higher level. The third full-length "Ultra" was released in January 2016.
