PAIN will play in Kyiv in 2021

This project began as a hobby of musician Peter Tegtgren, who decided to combine heavy metal with the music of the electro-industrial, but over the years it has become one of the most influential phenomena in the metal genre. Meet the band PAIN in Kyiv.

It seems that every fan of metal music knows PAIN for the main ringtone of the 2000s - the song Shut Your Mouth. But we must not forget such bangers as End of the Line, Same Old Song, Suicide Machine, Dirty Woman and Zombie Slam!

The band's founder Peter Tegtgren is a Swedish musician, composer, multi-instrumentalist and producer. He has not only worked on PAIN, Tegtgren is also a key figure in the creation of such musical figures as Hypocrisy and Lindemann. Tegtgren jokingly called Lindemann "a child of Rammstein and PAIN, or at least a mix of Rammstein vocals and PAIN music." In fact, Till Lindemann and Peter Tegtgren met in Stockholm, where they were introduced by Clawfinger musicians in 2000. In 2013, Lindemann invited his Swedish colleague to perform and said he would like to take a two-year break to write music with him. At first, they planned only one or two songs, but the creative process delayed them so much that they could not stop. In 2015, the first single Praise Abort was released, and later the debut album of the supergroup Skills in Pills.

In addition, Tegtgren founded his own studio - The Abyss Studio. Dimmu Borgir, Children of Bodom, Sabaton, Amon Amarth and many others were recorded in its walls. Of course, all the albums PAIN, Lindemann and Hypocrisy (since 1996) were also recorded here.

The first PAIN album of the same name was released in '97, and since the second year, all the records of the project have been on the music charts in Sweden. In 1998 and 2008, PAIN skated tours with Finnish legends Nightwish.

In 2002, the album Nothing Remains the Same was released, which attracted a lot of attention to the band, especially the cover version of the Beatles song "Eleanor Rigby". The album Dancing with the Dead was released in 2005 and was largely dedicated to the near-death experience of Tegtgren, who suffered a cardiac arrest during the recording.

After a forced breakup with fans this year, PAIN is still on the road in early 2021 to remind what is the real explosive energy of music.
