Why should you go to the ballet Chamber No 6, Underground?

3. The incomparable music of P. Vasks and A. Pärt.

Come for the evening of one-act ballets "Underground" and "Chamber No. 6" from Radu Poklitaru! The talented choreographer-director, as always, will find, than to surprise spectators!

The first one-act ballet entitled "Chamber No. 6" (to the music of the Estonian composer Arvo Pärt) is one of the most intimate performances of the collective. She saw the light of the ramp for the first time at the Bolshoi Theater of Russia. However, during the transfer to the artists of the troupe "Kiev Modern Ballet" the performance not only lost its emotional tension and depth, but could also enrich itself with new and very Chekhovian nuances.

This story is relevant now. After all, like many years ago, so today a person different from others is almost always doomed to become an outcast. As the creators of "Chamber No. 6" note, the shock caused by the audience by this ballet performance can only be compared with the catharsis that happens after watching the world's best dramatic performances.

The second one-act ballet is "Underground" (to the music of Latvian composer Peteris Vasks). In it, Radu Poklitaru represents the world of heroes who found themselves in the underground, that is, in the boundary conditions, not even life, but survival. Circumstances are contrasted with the striving of everyone to the distant world. What is this high beam? According to Peteris Vasks himself, this is Divine, heavenly light, and the light of childhood. Hence in the production of images appearing, transmitting to the audience the ultimate inner tension of the characters. But every tension needs a way out. And if it is not there, then it reaches the point beyond which the catastrophe of relations and the destruction of the personality begin.

Scenography - Andrey Zlobin, Honored Artist.
