We invite you to visit a unique music show, which combines live performance of the symphonic tale "Petrik and the wolf" by the Kyiv Symphony Orchestra with the charming sand animation of Svetlana Telbukh.
Could a boy from the Ukrainian village of Sontsivka believe that presidents Bill Clinton and Mikhail Gorbachev, actors Sharon Stone, Sophie Loren and Antonio Banderas, rock musicians David Bovey, Alice Cooper and Sting will someday hear his tales?
This boy is the world-famous composer Sergey Prokofiev, and the fairy tale is the best guide of the Petrik and the wolf orchestra. The symphonic fairy tale created in the spring of 1936 was played by the best orchestras of the world, under the direction of legendary conductors Leonard Bernstein, Lepold Stokovsky and Daniel Barenboim. In 1946, one of the first "Peter and the Wolf" was screened by Walt Disney, and in 2006, director Susie Tempton received her Oscar-winning animation for Prokofiev's fairy tale.
Humanity has not invented anything better for acquaintance of children with the orchestra. However, the Kyiv Symphony Orchestra led by conductor Natalia Stets together with Svetlana Telbuch - a participant of the show "Ukraine Has Talent", "America's Got Talent", semi-finalists "Spain's Got Talent" - came up with something else. Together, they will present a unique version of Petrik and the Wolf with a sand animation that will be performed live during the musicians' game.
It is an extremely entertaining spectacle that harmonizes and soothes the viewer. See it for yourself!
