The Hoffmann's Tale The Nutcracker and the Mouse King is a magical story with a happy ending.
The plot of the tale is much more complicated than the familiar libretto of Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker. The story of Princess Pirlipat usually fades into the background. But director Anatoly Gorbaty in his dramatization of the tale made the princess the central character of the performance. On stage, the audience is always admired by the Mouse King and his mom, and the king and queen are the parents of Princess Pirlipat, the Nutcracker, and Drosselmeyer.
