Kyiv Chamber Orchestra and violinist Vadim Borisov have prepared an extremely interesting program for you.
What unites such diverse composers as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Felix Mendelssohn and Benjamin Britten? The solution lies in one word: "Prodigy"... "Wunderkind"... "Wonder child"...
From time to time, strange musicians have appeared in the history of music as bright stars in the sky. Quite a few young children, eight or ten, and sometimes even less, they gave solo concerts and stunned the audience with the power of their musical talent. Their names were on the lips of the music world. "Miracle - children" became legends of history. But not all of them have been able to discover and develop their divine gift over the years. Only a few have left the next generation true artistic masterpieces...
The first string quartet was written when the child was only 14 years old. On the way to Rome, the father and son spent the night at a tavern in Lodi, where Mozart completed the work by signing it "Quarteto di Amadeo Mozart à 1770 le 15 di Marzo". The teenager was able to show a sophisticated, confident character and demonstrate an early mastery of chamber music sensitivity.
At the age of 14, Felix Mendelssohn was already the author of 13 (!!!) symphonies for string orchestra. A striking proof of the extraordinary freshness, beauty and sophistication of this music is that the symphonies have been regularly performed on the stage for two centuries.
For Simple Symphony, the composer used tunes written when he was only nine years old. The work became a wonderful composition of a perfect master of music, created by him as a child.
The fate of the prodigy is unpredictable. "Stars" often go off when they become adults, unable to withstand the challenges of life. This concert program is made up of exceptional music of exceptional "stars", which over time have not disappeared and will never go out.
