Bird in the Attic. Special screening
An event that will bring together the diplomatic and international community, government officials, artists and public figures to draw attention to Russia's war crimes against Ukrainian children through art, artistic storytelling and public expert dialogue. The event will take place on March 17, the second anniversary of the International Criminal Court's arrest warrants for Russian President Vladimir Putin and Commissioner for Children's Rights Maria Lvova-Belova for the mass deportation of Ukrainian children.
Organizers: Bring Kids Back UA, Maria Zankovetska National Theater, Babyn Yar National Historical and Memorial Reserve.
In the program:
- The play "Bird in the Attic" is a one-man play based on the play by Oleg Mikhailov, staged by the Maria Zankovetska National Theater, revealing the tragedy of deported Ukrainian children (the performance will be in Ukrainian with English subtitles);
- Opening of the exhibition "Stolen Childhood" from the National Historical and Memorial Reserve "Babyn Yar";
- Panel discussion "Deportation of Ukrainian children: consequences and responsibility" with the participation of representatives of the authorities, public organizations and artists.
