Ptakh_Jung have announced the release of two full-length multi-genre albums, with presentations taking place in two diametrically opposed locations throughout the week.
Ptakh_Jung is a band from Kiev that creates music on the boundaries of classics, electronics, post-rock, ambient and noise. Musicians define their style as under-classical and electronic expressionism.
Ptakh_Jung plans to release two new full-length albums in March and April 2020. They will be of different genre, but with recognizable sound Ptakh_Jung. Electronic album "Electronic Impressionism" and chamber, close to academic sound album "Underclassical".
Electronic Impressionism and Underclassical presentations will take place in one week in locations with a completely different atmosphere and context. On April 17, at the night rave party at Crest Techno Club, Ptakh_Jung will play a techno program. The second concert will take place in the evening of April 21 in a secret location, which will be announced later.
Band fans can purchase tickets to each concert individually, or get a two-ticket subscription at a time. Buyers of the first 10 season tickets can buy them at a special price of 600 UAH.
Ptakh_Jung's first mini-format album, Black Period, has been
among the top releases of the year by the country's largest music media.
During the 4 years of their existence, they have performed more than 60 performances, 8 of them abroad, have participated in the festivals Brave Factory, Respublika, Koktebel Jazz, Porto Franko, Odessa Classics, 86, Bouquet Kyiv Stage, Beseda u Bigbitu, Vibronica, Kaleidoskopie, Tauron Nowa Muzyka, Sharpe Bratislava, Ment Ljubliana, BUSH Budapest.
In addition to concert activities, Ptakh_Jung writes music for cinema, theater, and ballet. Among their projects are soundtracks for the documentaries "The Invisible Battalion," "No Manifestations," "Dad," the archival films "The Man and the Monkey," "The Dnieper in Concrete." The group cooperates with the British Council, the Ukrainian Institute, the Dovzhenko Center. In 2018, the band collaborated with the Turin Contemporary Ballet Theater, which came with a full solo out.
