Have you ever been to the Sorochintsy fair at least once? If not - correct the situation urgently!
And not because it is there that better fat, tastier than cakes, stronger vodka and more beautiful than women. Because it is a place where interesting events take place, all sorts of miracles happen and the daily life of the people resembles a fiery bright show with funny songs, dances, sincere love, jokes and Gogol mysticism. A festive atmosphere reigns here that even evil forces cannot defeat. In order to feel the atmosphere you do not have to go to Poltava, you can visit the National Operetta and watch the performance.
“Sorochinsky Fair” is a large-scale national project, which presents the wealth of Ukrainian folk crafts, the breadth of the Ukrainian soul and folk wisdom, Ukrainian music and colorful humor. The spectators in a few seconds immerse themselves in this noisy and bright action and follow the fate of the main characters who know how to love, make friends, sympathize, be sincere and live with an open heart.
The Sorochinsky Fair is a vivid example of the Ukrainian classical operetta, the founder of which in Ukraine is A. Ryabov.
In 2010, the Sorochinsky Fair, in the version of the National Operetta, was awarded the prestigious Kiev Pectoral Prize as the Best Musical Performance.
