1. Look at the play, which won the Kyiv Pectoral Theater Award.
2. To see a specific comedy where reality and myth have the same force.
3. Radioactive humor, bordering on the truth of life.
In the abandoned Chernobyl village live three forgotten and unwanted to anyone. Strange woman Frosya, her sickly daughter Slava and the silly granddaughter of Vova. There was once a husband at Glory, but he disappeared long ago: he collected things on the sly and disappeared.
Here the potato is a delicacy. A "zguschyonka" - all fantastic! Heroes of the play wonder why they live in the zone, and others - outside of it? This Chernobyl ghetto becomes a metaphor for the whole country, artificially cut off from the world. The main illusions and fears of Ukrainians are clearly heard from the stage. The mythical European distances, trips to which are financially unavailable to the majority of the population, frighten by their “freedoms”, and escape from this world can be only to that light.
The performance is the first result of cooperation between the famous Ukrainian playwright Pavel Arie and director Stas Zhirkov. "Stalkers" and "Glory to the Heroes" - a kind of diptych about the current life of Ukraine. This is a story that deserves to be heard.
Cast: Irma Vitovskaya, Vladislav Pisarenko, Vitalina Bibliv, Alexey Nadrudny.
