Stepan Petrovych Halyabarda is a legendary poet-songwriter, Honored Artist of Ukraine. He worked for over forty years in the structure of Ukrainian radio (now the National Radio Company of Ukraine), is the organizer of the song festivals "Romances of Slavutych" and the military song "Wings of Ukraine". In 2001, he wrote the libretto for the musical "I am Roksolana!", which was staged at the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Musical Theater.
The poet collaborates with prominent contemporary Ukrainian composers:
Oleksandr Zlotnyk, Gennady Tarchenko, Ostap Gavrysh, etc. And Stepan Halyabarda's insightful poem "Yavoryna" performed by Stepan Giga became an immortal hit.
